EWH3 #1241: The Watergate Anniversary Trail! – 6:45 PM Thursday, June 17 – Foggy Bottom – GWU (Orange Line)

As the CDC and DC Health continues to update and revise guidelines, Mismanagement is working to determine how the hash fits into these recommendations. We feel it is as important as ever that we are vigilant and maintain best practices to reduce the spread of COVID-19 within our community.

For this reason, masks are optional for fully vaccinated individuals. Vessels are required. Please take a moment to review Everyday is Wednesday’s COVID-19 guide. Information on vaccines in DC can be found here.

***********

49 years ago this Thursday, five burglars were arrested for breaking into the Democratic National Headquarters at the Watergate, sparking investigations by the Washington Post and Congress that would culminate in the resignation of President Richard Nixon. It also inspired one of the most iconic films of the 20th century:

Anyway, this trail goes through the Watergate complex, into Georgetown (a neighborhood that Nixon hated) and by the garage where Woodward and Bernstein met “Deep Throat”. Hippie clothes are welcome, but leave the recording to the Hash Flash!
